Roman Prinz, Head of Department for Patient Affairs, Institute for Quality Assurance and Transparency in Health Care
Roman Prinz is the Head of the department for Patient Concerns at the Institute for Quality Assurance and Transparency in Health Care (IQTIQ). The department is responsible for the institute’s continuous alignment to and improvement of patient-centered quality assurance. At the German Football Association (DFB e.V.), Roman Prinz was responsible for psychology and cognitive-sciences within the national teams and academy. This included the development and implementation of a psychological training curriculum for players and coaches, as well as research projects to transfer football-related evidence into practice. Roman Prinz worked as a research scientist at the Harding Center for Risk Literacy and in the department for Adaptive Behavior and Cognition of the Max Planck Institute for Human Development. His research included judgment and decision-making under uncertainty with a particular focus on risk communication and perception in medical contexts, as well as the availability, quality and impact of health-related information on patients.
