Description

English Marilù Guigli Poretti (born 1968), M.D, M.M.E., graduated in medicine from the University of Pavia (Italy) in 1994. In 2002, she obtained the Swiss federal title of Specialist in Internal Medicine and, in 2008, she specialized in Emergency Medicine. After an intensive clinical activity as an internist, and later as the Head of Emergency Medicine at the Regional Hospital of Locarno (Switzerland), she has been dedicating herself to education since 2017 by pursuing a Master's in Medical Education in Bern (Switzerland). She is currently in charge of Medical Training at the Ente Ospedaliero Cantonale (EOC), the network of public hospitals in the canton of Ticino, Switzerland. In this role, she contributed to the establishment of a new Master's program in Medicine (2020) and was appointed head of the Medical Education Unit of the Faculty of Biomedical Sciences at the University of Lugano (USI). In this capacity, she is particularly dedicated to the pedagogical development of bedside teaching, is an active member of the committee for the revision and ongoing implementation of university education, and at the federal level, she participates in several working groups focused on postgraduate education in hospital settings.
